A man has been charged after people were robbed and assaulted in their homes.

Paul Salisbury, 38, of Timmis Close, Gloucester, has been accused of forcing his way into properties on Garnalls Road in the city, in the early hours of Thursday while carrying a knife.

He has been charged with one count of robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, three counts of possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, two counts of assault by beating and one count of criminal damage.

He was due to appear before Cheltenham Magistrates earlier.
