Man critically injured in Handsworth stabbing

A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in Birmingham.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called at about 12:15 BST to Whitehall Road in Handsworth where a stabbed patient was found seriously hurt.
The ambulance service added paramedics immediately began administering advanced trauma care before conveying him to hospital.
West Midlands Police said the man had been assaulted at a property and was found with multiple injuries which were deemed to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Another man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and has been taken to hospital for treatment to an arm injury.
"A cordon and road closures are in place while forensic examinations take place. We are conducting house to house inquiries and securing CCTV."
