Chorus singers are in an ongoing dispute over pay and jobs

The pause on strike action by chorus singers at the Welsh National Opera will continue.

This means they will not go on strike on the next proposed date of Friday, 11 October, the union Equity says, something it hadn't ruled out previously.

Instead, before the performance, at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, chorus members will be wearing t-shirts with protest slogans and leafleting audience members.

In September, 93% of the 30-strong chorus voted for industrial action over the proposed changes, including action short of strike.

The WNO have previously said that they welcome the pause in industrial action and are committed to finding a solution.
