A woman has died after a car crash in Exeter, police say.

Officers were called to the crash involving a black VW Polo on Chantry Meadow on Tuesday at about 10:45 BST.

The driver of the vehicle, a local woman in her 90s, died at the scene, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Officers thanked the public for their assistance and patience while the road was closed and have appealed for any witnesses to get in contact.
