A lorry fire has caused hour-long delays on the M5 northbound in Worcester.
All traffic was held between junction eight, for the M50, and junction seven, for Worcester and Evesham, while fire crews dealt with the blaze.
Traffic was released by 08:10 GMT, National Highways said.
The fire was in the cab and trailer of the lorry carrying milk powder, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said.
Firefighters were called out just after 06:30 and had left the scene by 09:42.
Earlier, smoke affected drivers on the southbound carriageway.
While the northbound side was shut, there was six miles of congestion on the approach.
Recovery of the lorry cab and trailer involved in the fire has been completed, National Highways confirmed, with two lanes of the motorway closed.
