Firefighters tackle industrial estate blaze
Firefighters have tackled a large blaze at a former warehouse on an industrial estate.
Seven crews were called to Blaydon Industrial Park in Gateshead at about 20:00 BST on Sunday.
Flames were later put out and engines left the scene at about 23:20 BST.
There were no reports of any injuries, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service said, and the cause of the fire is to be investigated.
People were asked to avoid the area at the time and those living nearby were told to keep their windows closed.
