M602 closed for more than 13 hours after crash
A motorway has been shut for more than 13 hours after a crash that saw two teenagers taken to hospital.
Police confirmed a vehicle had overturned after hitting an embankment in the early hours of the morning.
Greater Manchester Police attended the scene on the eastbound carriageway of the M602 between junction 1 and junction 2 at Salford Royal Hospital at about 00:40 BST.
The 18-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital.
A passenger, a 19-year-old man, also suffered injuries, although they are not believed to be life threatening.
National Highways said the road had been closed for "collision investigation".
It confirmed the carriageway had been reopened at about 14:15 BST.
