Inquest into bin worker's death resumes
A jury is set to hear the inquest into David Carpenter's death

An inquest to the death of a refuse worker on duty is set to be heard in front of a jury later.
David Carpenter, 60, was critically injured while collecting bins during a residential round on Guild Road in the Foleshill area of Coventry on 19 January last year.
The incident happened just before 10:00 and he was confirmed dead at the scene a short time later.
The inquest resumes on Monday at Coventry Magistrates Court and is expected to last 10 days.
At the time, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) confirmed it was aware of the incident and was supporting the police with their investigation.

Mr Carpenter's family are being represented at the hearing by Thompsons Solicitors and supported by Unite the Union.
Karl De-Loyde from Thompsons Solicitors said: 鈥淚t has been an extremely difficult year for David鈥檚 family who are understandably still coming to terms with his death which occurred under truly tragic circumstances.
鈥淚t is their hope that the inquest will provide them with some insight into the circumstances surrounding his death, and whether any lessons can be learnt that would protect other workers in the future.鈥
