Arrests after man critically injured in street attack
A man was left in a critical condition with serious head injuries after he was attacked near a pub.
Police were called to the incident near Walkabout on Queen Street in Blackpool at about 04:25 on Saturday.
A man in his 50s was taken to hospital where he remains, Lancashire Police said.
Two men, aged 36 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
Det Insp Liam Davy said the assault was being treated as "an isolated incident" and appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
