Ferry times brought forward due to tidal conditions

The times of some sailings by the island鈥檚 flagship passenger ferry to and from Lancashire have been brought forward due to tidal conditions.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company said Thursday morning鈥檚 journey by the Manxman to Heysham Port would depart 45 minutes early at 08:00 BST.
Its return to Douglas is due to leave an hour early at 13:15.
The vessel鈥檚 evening sailing and its overnight return have been brought forward by 30 and 25 minutes respectively.
The tidal disruption comes ahead of expected high winds expected across the island over the weekend.
Ronaldsway Met Office warned Saturday was likely to be 鈥渦nseasonably windy鈥 with a 鈥渞isk of travel disruption and slight structural damage鈥.
The conditions on Sunday were also expected to be 鈥渧ery windy, especially for the time of year鈥, with a risk of coastal overtopping at times of high tide around the island on both days.
