Three boys have been arrested after a car and bin were set on fire.

Officers in Worksop found the vehicle, which had been set alight in Hardwick Road West at about 03:00 BST on Sunday.

Fire crews were called and put out the blaze, while police arrested three people at the scene.

Three boys - 12, 15, and 17 - were all arrested on suspicion of arson.

All three have been released on bail while investigations continue, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Insp Hayley Crawford, district commander for Bassetlaw, said: "Setting deliberate fires can lead to utterly catastrophic consequences."

Police investigating alongside the fire service are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
