Closing times for public toilets at Summerleaze beach are not changing

Some public toilets in and around Bude are to close early due to repeated vandalism, a council says.

Bude-Stratton Town Council said from Monday, toilets in Poughill and Stratton would close at 17:00 BST, and Bude's Crescent car park toilets would shut at 18:00.

Officials said the earlier closing times - previously 20:00 - were being trialled in an attempt to cut vandalism that included fixtures and fittings being damaged, graffiti and blocked toilets.

It added closing times at the Crooklets and Summerleaze beach toilets would remain unchanged.
