Teenager drug arrests after boy, 15, dies
Three teenagers have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was found "unwell" on the Trans Pennine Trail in Doncaster and later died, police said.
The boy was found on a section of the walking and cycling route between Sprotbrough and Warmsworth at about 19:45 BST on Saturday.
South Yorkshire Police said he was taken to hospital but died in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl were held on suspicion of drugs-related offences and remain in police custody.
In a statement, officers added: "We are aware there has been speculation on social media about the circumstances surrounding this incident.
"We would urge people to be mindful of our investigation and not to speculate on details."
Police asked those with any information to contact the force.
