A man has died after he was hit by a car in Kent.

The pedestrian, aged 26, was walking in Fairfield Road, Broadstairs, at about 12:25 BST on Sunday when he was struck by a black Nissan Qashqai, which stopped at the scene, Kent Police said.

He was airlifted to hospital where he later died, a police spokesperson said.

Police have made no arrests and are appealing for anyone who witnessed or has footage of the incident to contact them.
