Three arrested during armed police response

A 20-year-old man wanted in connection with an assault has been arrested.

Armed police surrounded a house on Tithe Barn Road, Stockton, Teesside, at about 08.45 BST.

Cleveland Police said a 17-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man had also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three were taken into custody for questioning.

Officers patrolled the area while the house was being searched.

The force added the road had since reopened and armed officers had left the area.
