The A21 in East Sussex has been closed in both directions after a crash in which a motorcyclist died.

It happened at about 20:00 BST on Thursday at the Johns Cross roundabout near Robertsbridge, and involved a white Ford Transit van and a red Honda motorbike.

Police said the man who died was 38.

A 32-year-old man from St Leonards has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

The A21 was still closed in both directions on Friday morning.

National Highways said traffic was being diverted via the A28 and A268.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
