Council tax freeze agreed in Western Isles

Households in the Western Isles will see their council tax bills frozen in the coming year.
People living in a band D property will still pay 拢1290.75 for the year.
Councillors on Comhairle nan Eilean Siar also approved 拢1.7m of savings with 拢435,000 coming from the schools and education budget.
The council has allocated about half of its financial reserves to help avoid further cuts to services.
