Man dies following house fire in Dingwall
A 65-year-old man has died following a fire at a flat in Dingwall.
Emergency services were called to the property in St Andrews Road at about 08:00 on Thursday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said three appliances were sent to the scene and crews extinguished a blaze in the kitchen of the ground-floor flat.
A joint police and SFRS investigation will be held into the cause of the fire.
SFRS area commander Michael Humphreys said: 鈥淪adly, one person passed away at the scene.
"Our thoughts are with all of those affected by this incident at this time."
