Swords and crossbow seized after social media posts
A haul of weapons including knives, swords and a crossbow have been seized by police after photos were posted on social media.
Gas-powered air weapons, body armour and cannabis plants were also found in a raid at a home in Saddleworth, Oldham, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
Det Supt Phil Hutchinson said there was "no justifiable reason" to own these sorts of weapons.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm, an offensive weapon and class C drugs.
The force said the house on Huddersfield Road in Delph was searched on Friday after photographs of weapons were published online.
Det Supt Hutchinson said officers believed there was no risk to the public, despite the "distressing" nature of the items found.
GMP is committed to taking action against anyone who owns weapons of this kind, he added.
