Plans to build 400 homes on the edge of a Nottinghamshire town have been given the go-ahead.
A 39.6 acre (16 hectare) site west of Mansfield, between Abbott Road and the A617, has been earmarked for development.
Planning officials at Mansfield District Council have approved the scheme using delegated powers.
The new homes will be the latest phase of a wider development, by Commercial Estates Projects Ltd and Hallam Land management, in which 200 homes have already been built.
In documents lodged with the council, the developers said the new homes would be accessed by Abbott Road and Water Lane.
They said they intended to create "pleasant and well-planned" streets.
