Bus driver charged after man, 73, killed crossing road
A bus driver has been arrested and charged with a road traffic offence after a 73-year-old pedestrian was killed in September last year.
The man died after being hit by a bus in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire, during evening rush hour.
He was crossing Orchard Drive at the junction with Fenwick Road.
The 24-year-old bus driver was not injured in the collision on 23 September.
A police spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The 24-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal."
