Boy, 13, seriously hurt after being hit by car

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Wakefield.
The collision happened on Asdale Road at 08:26 BST on Thursday.
The boy, who is aged 13, was taken to hospital, West Yorkshire Police said.
Officers said that the road remained closed, as of 10:35 BST, while enquiries continued.
