Man charged with attempted murder over shootings

A man has been charged with four counts of attempted murder following two shootings.
Shots were fired at a house on Shetland Avenue in Thornaby on 12 April, and also at a property in Staindrop, County Durham, on 29 March, Cleveland Police said.
The 30-year-old accused, from Northampton, has also been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm with intent and possession of a prohibited weapon.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on 22 May.
No pleas were entered.
