Flats evacuated after fire breaks out in woodland
A number of flats were evacuated after a fire broke out in neighbouring woodland.
The blaze started on a wooded hillside in Penglais, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, at about 16:50 BST on Friday, sending plumes of smoke across the town.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service said about 20 firefighters were at the scene.
It said it had received 96 emergency calls from the public about the blaze.
It is unclear how many flats were evacuated.
Ceredigion County Council set up a temporary rest centre for displaced residents.
At 21:15 BST the centre was closed and evacuees were allowed to return to their homes.
