A 40-year-old woman has died after a car left the road and hit her.
Two other pedestrians were injured in the collision in Grantham.
Lincolnshire Police were called to Barrowby Road at about 18:40 BST on Thursday.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink-driving, after he failed a roadside breath test.
The single-vehicle collision involved a black Nissan car.
"Sadly, a 40-year-old woman died from her injuries, while the other two people sustained injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing," a spokesperson for the force said.
"Our thoughts are with her family at this deeply distressing time and specialist officers are supporting them."
Drivers with dashcam footage, or residents in the area who have CCTV cameras, are being urged to contact officers.
