Nurse cleared of trying to kidnap premature baby
A student nurse accused of trying to kidnap a premature baby from hospital has been found not guilty.
Safia Ahmadei, 37, from Wolverhampton, had denied the offence which was alleged to have taken place at New Cross Hospital in the city between 12 and 14 February.
The jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court cleared the defendant, from Upper Vauxhall in the city, on Friday.
Earlier in the process, on 15 March, the prosecution offered no evidence over an additional charge of conspiracy to kidnap.
