Two people have been attacked by a gang of burglars who were armed with a crowbar and hammer, Surrey Police say.

The three men carried out the assault when they were disturbed while searching a property in Pyrford, Surrey, about 21:30 BST on 4 October.

The burglars, dressed in black clothing, gloves and balaclavas, escaped in a grey Kia Niro that was later found abandoned in Pyrford Common carpark.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the Old Woking Road area at that time to contact them.
