Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
Police officers investigating a serious assault have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder.
Essex Police went to Charnwood Avenue, in Chelmsford, on Friday 7 June after reports a man in his 20s had suffered a serious head wound.
The force said he had life-threatening injuries and was still in hospital.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He was in custody on Monday being questioned, a police spokesperson added.
