Man arrested following M1 crash which caused delays
A man has been arrested after a serious collision on the M1 between a car and a lorry near Luton airport.
Bedfordshire police said a man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was being questioned in custody.
National Highways said the busy motorway, between junctions 11 and 10, in Bedfordshire, was shut at 05:46 GMT but reopened at about 12:50.
Another man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Officers appealed for witnesses of the incident, which involved a black Toyota Pruis and a white HGV.
There were long delays with about an hour added to journey times, National Highways added.
