A large stretch of the A43 in Northamptonshire has reopened after a serious road traffic crash involving several vehicles in the early hours closed it for much of the day.
The crash happened between Brackley and Towcester at about 00:30 GMT and the road was closed in both directions.
Northamptonshire Police advised motorists to seek alternative routes.
An investigation, recovery and collision clear-up work has now been completed, according to Highways England, and the road fully reopened.
The A43 Silverstone bypass was shut northbound from the A413 Dadford Road to the Whittlebury turn-off.
The southbound A43 was also closed between Towcester and Silverstone, as a result of the incident.
