The trial of a mother and daughter charged with stalking is under way after a jury was sworn in at a court in Lincoln.

Linda Lu, 34, and her mother Susan Chen, 60, of Linga Lane in Bassingham, both deny stalking charges involving serious harm and distress.

They are accused of harassing residents in the Lincolnshire village in 2023.

Both defendants are representing themselves and the trial is anticipated to take between six and eight days at Lincoln Magistrates' Court, which is representing Lincoln Crown Court.

The trial was originally meant to start on 8 April, but was postponed for five months to allow time for a review of media material.

The trial continues.
