Woman in her 80s dies in two-car crash

A woman in her 80s has died after a crash involving two cars, police have said.

She was a passenger in a blue Ford Fiesta, which was in collision with a black Honda HRV near Heckington at about 11:00 BST on Friday, Lincolnshire Police said.

A force spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with her family at this extremely difficult time, and they are being supported by specially trained officers."

A man was also seriously injured in the crash. Police did not say in which vehicle he was travelling.

Witnesses, including anyone with dash cam footage, are asked to contact police.
