A one-tonne dumper truck has been stolen from a Derbyshire building site.

The white Terex truck was taken from the Old Grammar School development in Heanor鈥檚 Mundy Street.

It was stolen between 16:00 BST on Monday, 15 July and 07:30 the next day.

Derbyshire Police believe the vehicle was towed away on a trailer by a silver van.

The force would like to hear from anyone with information, in particular dashcam or CCTV footage, which could help their investigation.

The former Heanor Grammar School is undergoing an 拢8.6m regeneration of the site by Amber Valley Borough Council.

The school, the main part of which is Grade II-listed, has been empty since closing in 2013.

The listed building is to be turned into a community facility with office and business space, while the site鈥檚 1960s science block is being demolished.
