Search for missing man stood down after body found

Police have stood down their search for a missing man after a body was found.

Essex Police said the man's body was recovered from the River Roding, in the Fyfield area of Ongar.

Officers had been searching for Eric Legge, 82, who was reported missing from the area on Saturday.

The man's death was not being treated as suspicious, the force confirmed.

It added that formal identification was yet to take place and that Mr Legge鈥檚 family had been informed.
