Rats force secondary school to close
A secondary school has been forced to close early before half-term after rats were discovered in its main building.
Ysgol Tryfan in Bangor, Gwynedd, will shut on Thursday so that the school can tackle the problem straight away.
In an email to parents, the school said it made the decision after discussions with officials from Gwynedd council's environment department.
The school will also be closed to pupils on Friday for staff training before the half-term holidays.
In a statement, the school said it believed it was right close a day early to "fully deal with the problem immediately, so that we can reopen following the half-term holidays".
