Road closed during rush hour as horse hit by car
A major road had to be closed during rush hour after horses were seen running loose on the carriageway.
Hertfordshire Police said it was called to the A505 at Royston at about 17:25 BST on Tuesday.
Two horses had escaped from a horsebox and one had been hit by a car, the force said.
Both animals were taken to a local vet and the road was reopened at 19:30.
