Man charged after motorcyclist killed in crash

A man has been charged after a motorcyclist died in a crash in Burton-upon-Trent.
Layton Robinson, 32, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving over the crash on Horninglow Road North on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, which involved a motorbike and silver Mercedes, at about 04:40 GMT.
The motorcyclist 鈥 a man in his 60s 鈥 was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Robinson, from Tamworth, has also been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop after a road accident, using a motor vehicle on a road without third-party insurance, driving while disqualified and aggravated vehicle taking.
He was due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday.
