Crash leaves victim in hospital
One person was taken to hospital following a crash in County Durham.
The accident happened at about 11:30 BST on the B1281 Hesledon Road near Blackhall Colliery.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said the injured person had been taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment.
Durham Police said the road had been closed for clean-up and investigations. It did not confirm when it would be reopened.
