Five people have been injured in a crash involving a lorry and car near Wadebridge.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the incident on the A389 at St Issey was reported at 08:33 GMT.

The fire service said no-one had been trapped in the vehicles but five people were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro "with broken bones but not life-threatening injuries".

It said firefighters from Padstow and Devon and Cornwall Police were on the scene and, while the air ambulance attended, the casualties were taken to hospital by land ambulance.
