Blackpool Tower is asking people to share their favourite memories of the famous landmark.
The Grade I listed tower turns 130 in May, and its operators are asking for people to explain what it means to them, and to share photographs and stories.
The stories will be collected in a book displayed in the tower and online.
Head of operations Aaron Edgar said about a million people visit the tower each year and there are "so many interesting stories out there".
'Earliest memories'
He told 大象传媒 Radio Lancashire: "Some of my earliest memories are sitting in the tower circus and watching some of the incredible acts from around the world."
He added he remembered "the stories from my great-grandmother about how she used to go dancing in Blackpool at the various venues... but the tower ballroom on the Saturday evening was the pinnacle".
Memories and stories can be sent to a specially created email address Merlin@thisisinfluential.com.
