Alderney set to make King's visit a public holiday
A public holiday will be observed in Alderney to mark a visit to the island by King Charles.
The monarch and Queen Camilla are scheduled to visit Guernsey on 16 July.
The public holiday is set to be formally approved by the States of Alderney at a meeting on the 10 July.
The government said it was developing plans for participating in the Guernsey visit, and would release details in due course.
