Two men have been arrested following a stabbing that left a man with serious injuries.

Officers were called to Old Esher Road in Hersham at about 05:00 GMT on Monday, where a man in his 50s was found.

A 24-year-old man and 48-year-old man, both from Hersham, have since been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, Surrey Police said.

Both men have been released on conditional bail.

The force added that the victim remained in hospital for treatment and it continued to appeal for any witnesses to come forward.
