Two men arrested after drug raids

Two men have been arrested after police carried out simultaneous drug raids on properties in Selby and Goole.

Officers entered two properties in Selby, on Kitchener Close and George Street, and a business premises in Goole, in a joint operation by North Yorkshire and Humberside forces.

They found suspected class A drugs, paraphernalia and a large amount of cash.

Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of supplying a class A drug and possession of criminal property, and have since been released under investigation.

Insp Martin Wedgwood from the Selby Neighbourhood Policing team said: 鈥淭ackling and preventing drug harm is a matter of priority for us and we will continue with our work to disrupt drug activities across the Selby district.
