England's football fans celebrated across the East Midlands as the Three Lions beat Switzerland to reach the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Trent Alexander-Arnold hit the final penalty to send England through after the game ended 1-1 with extra time unable to separate the sides.

Seas of red and white could be seen all across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire as Gareth Southgate's team beat the Swiss 5-3 on penalties.

England will now play the Netherlands on Wednesday.
