MP recovering after being put in coma with sepsis
Craig Mackinlay, MP for South Thanet in Kent, is recovering following organ failure from sepsis

A Kent MP has revealed that he was put into a coma following a diagnosis for sepsis.
Craig Mackinlay, Conservative MP for South Thanet, said he was "placed into an induced coma with multiple organ failures" after being rushed to hospital on 28 September.
The MP said he was on the "slow road to recovery" following his ordeal.
He has received dozens of messages of support after he on X, formerly known as Twitter, including from Prime Minister Sunak.
Mr Sunak said: "Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Craig."
Sepsis is a also known as septicaemia or blood poisoning.
Mr Mackinlay added in his post on X: "Treatment has been exemplary by all NHS staff and I can’t thank them enough."
The post also said his constituents would continue to be served by "East Kent and London offices".
