A prison worker has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs at HMP Northumberland.
The 56-year-old woman was held by officers from the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit (NEROCU) on Thursday and remains in police custody.
The Ministry of Justice said the woman is employed by Sodexo, which runs the prison.
Her arrest is part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs, NEROCU said.
