Man, 49, appears in court charged with murder

A man from Swansea has appeared in court charged with the murder of another man from the city.

Paul Rosser, 49, from Gendros, spoke only to confirm his name in the hearing held at Swansea Crown Court on Monday morning.

Joshua Norman, 27, died after being found with serious injuries on Cwm Road in the Hafod area of the city on 11 September.

Paul Rosser remains in custody and is due to appear again at Swansea Crown Court on 1 November.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said a 31-year-old man also arrested in connection with the incident had been released on bail pending further investigation.

Two other men aged in their 30s, who were also arrested, had been released under investigation, the spokesperson added.

In a tribute to Joshua Norman, his family described him as "a loving son, father, brother, and uncle who cared deeply about all his family".

鈥淗e was a beautiful person whose smile and sense of humour would light up any room and any heart," they added.

Mr Norman's family said they would miss him terribly and they asked for privacy at this time "to grieve the loss of our dear son".
