A search has been launched at a lake in Staffordshire after a 77-year-old man went missing.
The man, from Leek, to whom police referred only as Hugh, was reported missing at about 17:40 BST on Tuesday and was believed to have travelled to Rudyard Lake, Staffordshire Police said.
Search teams have been working in the area through the night, using drones and a search boat.
The operation included volunteers from Staffordshire, Cheshire, Merseyside and Derby, a police spokesperson confirmed.
A large police presence was expected to remain in the area throughout Wednesday afternoon.
Hugh is described as white with a bald head and moustache. He usually wears fishing-type clothing such as cotton trousers with a shirt and jacket.
People who might have seen him or have more information are urged to contact the Staffordshire force.
