A woman was taken to hospital after she was attacked by a dog in Staffordshire.
Police said the victim, aged in her 50s, was bitten on the head and arm during the incident on Hednesford Road, Rugeley, shortly before 08:30 GMT on Friday.
She was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries, they added.
An investigation was launched to find the animal and its owner.
The brown and white dog was believed to be a cross between a bull-mastiff and a Staffordshire bull terrier, officers said.
The male owner was described as short, of large build and aged between 48 and 55.
He was wearing a green puffer jacket at the time of the incident, the force added.
