A pensioner has been jailed after he was convicted of sexually abusing a young girl.
Roger Faulkner, of Neve Gardens, Donington on Bain, was found guilty of eight sexual offences by a jury at Lincon Crown Court on Friday.
The 69-year-old had denied all charges including two counts of rape of a child aged under 13.
Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight jailed him for 17 years and said he would have to serve an extended licence period for a year after his release.
She also made Faulkner the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and disqualified him from ever working with children and said he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
The charges all related to the same girl, who was aged under 13 at the time of the offences in 2013 and 2014.
A jury at Lincoln Crown Court had taken just two hours to find Faulkner guilty of all eight offences.
A charge of making an indecent photograph of a child was also ordered to lie on the file.
